Recertification:
This qualification is valid for 3 years. The only component of this qualification that may need to be updated, is the CPR component. The Australian Resuscitation Councils recommends that CPR is renewed annually.

Course Outcomes:

Successful completion of this course, provides trainees with the knowledge and skills to be able to provide first aid responses and treatment to a casualty in a range of situations, including the workplace, or the general community. Knowledge covers: the chain of life – DRSABCD, life-threatening emergencies or injuries, and to provide help until medical help arrives, provide (CPR) cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, and provide treatment for the unconscious casualty, asthma, anaphylaxis. Course covers all the basic first aid treatments for a variety of ailments and injuries as per Australian resuscitation council guidelines.

Entry Requirements:

Practical training of CPR requires that trainees perform CPR on an adult and infant manikin. Adult CPR training is performed on the floor. Trainees with special needs either physical difficulties or literacy difficulties, should contact our office, so that assistance can be arranged for you, so we can ensure that your needs are met.
